Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. – The hotel Barceló Punta Cana Premium hosted the 23rd edition of the Miss Latin America of the World Pageant, with its remodeled amphitheatre serving as the backdrop for the finale.

Miss Costa Rica Johanna Solano,18, won this year’s Miss Latin America of the World 2009 crown, after competing with more than 25 candidates representing Spanish speaking nations, in a night full of beauty and spectacle.

During the event Barceló Hotels & Resorts was recognized for its 10 years of work and cooperation with the competition, sponsoring Latin beauties in the continent’s different destinations.
