Santo Domingo.– Maestro Jose Antonio Molina announced the program for the 2010 Summer-Fall National Symphony Orchestra Season, which starts with a night dedicated to German composer Ludwig van Beethoven.

The five concerts (one of them is a benefit) scheduled for this season are:

August 19: Dedicated to Beethoven.

August 25: "Gems of the Heart" with violinist Aisha Syed, performing Concert No. 3 for Violin and Orchestra by Camille Saint Saens. And Danse Macabre, Op.40 by Saint Saens. Music from the Caribbean Gems production, directed by Maestro Jose Antonio Molina. Tickets are RD$1,000-RD$400 at the National Theater. This is a benefit for the Heart Care Dominicana Foundation.

September 1st: Concert directed by Thomas Sanderling with works by F. Chopin, Richard Wagner and R. Schumann and guest performance of pianist Pavlo Gintov.

September 15: Concert directed by Thomas Sanderling, with gust soloist violinist Ilia Kaler. Works by Johannes Brahms.

September 29: Concert directed by Jose Antonio Molina. Julia Zilbertquit, guest pianist. Performing works by L. Bernstein, M. Ravel, Tchaikovsky and Villa-Lobos.
