Santo Domingo.-The first American SingleGolfclub match will be staged in Santo Domingo, Juan Dolio and La Romana in November, to coincide with the declaration of Santo Domingo as Culture Capital of America 2010.

“We play the Golf Courses Las Lagunas in Santo Domingo, Guavaberry and Los Marlins in Juan Dolio and the Teeth of The Dog in La Romana. We stay the whole week in the Hotel Embassy Suites by Hilton in the Metro Country Club in Juan Dolio. Of course we would like to visit the historical Zona Colonial in Santo Domingo and the Altos de Chavón in La Romana,” said the promoter, Gerhard W. Koch.

He said Golf Singles from all American countries are invited to participate on the First American Single Golf Cup. “We are planning the American Single Golf Cup to play it every year in the Dominican Republic, because this is the central place in America and we have good weather conditions in November. We hope that we have more and more SingleGolfclubs in America and let's say in 2 - 5 years participants are coming from 5, 10 or even more American countries.”
