ANAHEIM.- Dominican music companies are taking part in North Americas’ biggest music instrument and accessories trade show which began in California last week.

Buyers from both Danilo and King Music based in the capital Santo Domingo were part of the nearly 100,000 music buyers from around the world who attended the annual 4-day local trade show.

Known as NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) the vent is billed as the crossroads for not only musical instruments, but also live sound products and retailers.

Musicians from a variety of genres, including Stevie Wonder and George Benson, were performing, walking the isles and meeting with buyers.

The NAMM stage also featured a special performance by New York Yankees great Bernie Williams, whose classical guitar performance has earned him a Grammy nominee. His Caribbean sound was a treat for the crowd at the NAMM event.

Percussion manufactures were in force including Pearl and the Latin-Dominican favorite TOCA Percussion.
