More than 1,000 Carnaval performers and the 20 best floats from various Dominican cities will participate in the parade, with their exotic costumes and masks, as an expression of the country cultural and folklore traditions, to the delight of the thousands of local and foreign tourists who will visit the country’s East region.

They should look at Rio de Janeiro for what makes a great Carnival, an look at La Vega on what makes a woeful one.
