Santo Domingo. - President Leonel Fernandez will cut the ribbon to start Santo Domingo’s 15th annual International Book Fair 2012 at 6pm tomorrow Wednesday, when its organizers pledge to unveil activities to make it not just a reading event, but also to enrich your intellect and entertain.

This year the activity will feature The Queen of Technicolor' exhibit, to mark 100 years since the birth of Hollywood legend Maria Montez.

Bookstores and related businesses welcome the yearly event, in hopes of boosting sales of written and audiovisual materials.

A special tribute will also be bestowed on the author Héctor Incháustegui, one of the Antille’s most prolific poets during the 20th Century’, as well as a pavilion to mark the 50 years since the Massacre at Palma Sola, site where most of the assassins of the dictator Rafael Trujillo were executed.
