Santo Domingo. – Local and foreign experts will conduct the seminar "Doing Business in Malaysia" slated for next Tuesday, hosted by the Roundtable of Commonwealth Nations in the Dominican Republic and with the support of Dominican Republic’s Chambers of Commerce Federation.
The event will start 8:30am in the meeting room of the Dominican Republic Industries Association (AIRD), on Sarasota Av.
Speaking on Malaysia will be Malaysian Trade (MATRADE) General Director Jonathan Rao, and Latin America Market Director Michael Holley. Matrade is Malaysia’s official trade and investment agency.
Among the local pars figure Dominican Ambassador in Malaysia Hans Dannenberg, Foreign Trade vice Minister Marcelo Puello, Export and Investment Center Deputy (CEI-RD) Technical Director Acelis Angeles and Chambers of Commerce Federation Executive Director Fernando Puig.
For the Dominican private sector will participate as panelists Caucedo Port General Manager Joseph Nelton Gonzalez, Dominican of Electrical Industries Association Executive Director Milton Morrison, and Free Zones Association Executive Vice President Jose Manuel Torres.
The seminar seeks to help the participants understand and identify export opportunities, trade and investment with Malaysia.
For Roundtable President Fernando Gonzalez Nicolas Malaysia’s robust economy could contribute to Dominican Republic’s economic development.
He said it’s convenient for Dominicans to diversify trade with other countries such as Malaysia, a Commonwealth nation.
