Puntacana resort announces Forbes Golf Invitational

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.- the Puntacana Group on Friday announced Forbes Golf Invitational, an international event to be held the first time in the country, slated for the Bavaro Hotel, April 24 to 26, as part of the resort’s 45th anniversary.

The golf invitational was created as a unique platform for business leaders around the world to enjoy the sport in an environment to exchange experiences and bolster their business network.

Puntacana Group has joined the effort aimed at strengthening national tourism and join the thrust to make Dominican Republic a high standard golf destination.

“It’s an unique event to the Caribbean, which concentrates a select group of international players, big business leaders, golf lovers and enthusiasts, gathered at the Puntacana Resort & Club, the site of the Caribbean’s ultimate golf and beach experience.

Guests will have a busy 3-day agenda of activities including a welcome cocktail, beach games, lunch, practice rounds at the links, a tropical gala and a grand ceremony. Fans will play in Los Corales Golf Course, designed by Tom Fazio, in 2 rounds of 18 holes.

The fundraiser invitational will benefit the Puntacana Ecological Foundation, a nonprofit organization that protects and preserves the Punta Cana region’s natural resources while contributing to Dominican Republic’s sustained development, through efforts such as the Sustainable Fishing Center (PESCA), the Ojos Indigenas Park and Ecological Reserve, Sustainable Agriculture and Zero Waste project.
