Puntacana Resort & Club taps Roger Belletti as general manager of Tortuga Bay

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.- Puntacana Resort & Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Roger Belletti as General Manager of the exclusive, Tortuga Bay Hotel. In his new role, Belletti will directly oversee the day-to-day operations of the brand’s prestigious award-winning property, which features 13 beachfront villas.

Belletti brings more than two decades of hospitality management experience to the Dominican Republic’s only AAA Five Diamond Awarded property and long-standing member of the Leading Hotels of the World. Prior to joining the Puntacanaa Resort & Club team, Belletti served as General Manager of the five-star Punta Molino Beach Resort & Spa in Ischia, Italy for three years.

While there, he was responsible for significantly increasing the property’s GSS (i.e. Guest Survey Score). He was also brought on by Marriott International as pre-opening manager and then General Manager of the first JW Marriott in Italy, The Tiberio Palace Capri – a luxury boutique resort on the island of Capri.

Following his studies in hotel business management in Germany, the German-born Belletti started his career with national luxury brands Kempinski Hotels and Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts where he quickly worked his way up the ranks. His multi-cultural sensibility and fluency in five languages have helped him achieve excellence in the global hospitality sector.

Late last year, Tortuga Bay’s iconic canary-hued villas underwent a redesign of its interiors under the watchful eye of Oscar de la Renta. The airy ocean-front suites maintain the legendary designer’s signature elegant style. Inspired by the resort’s leafy surroundings, the interiors feature lush fabrics from de la Renta’s home collection, and natural materials such as indigenous mahogany wood, wicker and rattan.

The fresh plantation-style sensibility, Frette-clad four-poster beds and private terraces create a charming and romantic oasis for travelers seeking a true escape.

Tortuga bay also features a 1,000 square foot Oscar de la Renta boutique set amongst the villas and is home to the AAA Four Diamond Restaurant, Bamboo.
