Former president, media mogul talk Dominican-made films

Miami, Florida.- Former Dominican Republic president Leonel Fernández on Tuesday discussed an inter-agency partnership with media group Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS) to shoot and market a series of productions within Dominican Republic’s film industry.

Fernández and Cuban-American business leader Raul Alarcon, president of the SBS group, headed the coordination meeting in SBS headquarters.

Representing the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (FUNGLODE), Fernandez, stressed to Alarcon that the agreement, with a US$25 million investment in its initial phase, aims to provide decisive support to develop the Dominican film industry.
