Gildan workers, execs plant 6,000+ seedlings at wildlife refuge

San Pedro, Dominican Republic.- More than 6,000 seedlings were planted by employeesand stakeholders of the Canadian multinational Gildan, as part of its programto support the environment, called Re-Foresta, which aims to preserve andpromote the protection of natural resources all business operations in ourcountry.

The activity headed by Gildan CountryManager Freddy Barrantes was carried out at the Higuamo River Basin WildlifeRefuge in eastern San Pedro de Macoris province, with the active and voluntaryparticipation of more than 700 employees from the plants at San Antonio deGuerra, Las Americas and San Pedro.

The participants were trained on the protection of naturalresources, how to save energy and create habits that will enable them to have abetter quality of life in coexistence with the environment.
