Govt. agency provides national statistics to the Tourism Press

Santo Domingo.- The National Statistics Office (NSO) on Thursdayreleased figures on Dominican Republic’s demographic, social and economicreality, aimed at providing key and up-to-date statistics on the main tourismdistricts.

ONE director Pablo Tactuk and a technical team headed thepresentation dedicated to top executives and advisers of the Dominican TourismPress Association (ADOMPRETUR).

He stressed ONE’s interest to provide statistics on economicdevelopment, social progress and demographics.

The information in 12 blocs include Demographics, LivingConditions, Environment, Employment and Social Security, Economy, Agriculture,Political Participation, Education, Health, Law Enforcement and Judiciary,Poverty, and Transport and Communication.

ADOMPRETUR president Luis Jose Chavez, vice president KarinaLopez, , Training director Tony Arias Gil, , Events Director Yenny Polanco and ExecutiveDirector Zonia Tejada attended the activity, accompanied by past presidentsOsvaldo Soriano and Manuel Quiterio Cedeño and Elpidio Tolentino, secretarygeneral of Adompretur La Romana; and Mariano Livio Cedeño, former secretarygeneral of the affiliate of Higuey.
