Regular diesel is also at a new high. This week it went up by RD$ 2.30 and now sells for RD$107.60 per gallon.
Liquid petroleum gas went up by 67 cents, and the subsidized variety now costs RD$50.38, while the non-subsidized propane now sells for RD$72.14 per gallon.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce attributed the increases to “external factors” and said that the calculations had been based on an exchange rate of RD$32.22 to the U.S. dollar.
