Santo Domingo.- The State Works Supervisory Office (OISOE) yesterday said construction of the San Cristóbal-Baní (south) highway again was transferred to the Public Works Ministry.

OISOE director Felix Bautista said the Executive Branch reassigned the work to Public Works, now including a budget.

He said Public Works was originally in charge of the work, but after differences with the construction company Modesto, president Leonel Fernandez assigned it to the OISOE in June, 2006, to continued it. "The completion of the San Cristóbal-Baní highway has returned to Public Works, with the particularity that it gave back with budget include."

Listen guys, at this point I don’t care if he transfer’s the job to el Chavo del ocho, as long as the job gets completed in a timely manner. It also better be strong construction to last at least 80 years.. I will be traveling up and down that highway with my little girls very often.

I hope no one will expect that Bani road to completed in our life time. Look at LF and his Samana HWY that he started during his last time as president 11 years ago. This has to be the best scam artist in the world.
