Santo Domingo.- The power comapny AES Dominicana said although it's still owed a total of US$233 million its Andres power plant would be back on line in the system on Monday after concluded its maintenance, which forced it to cease operation since October 17.

"The generator which alone contributes an average of 20 percent of the demand of the National Interconnected Electric System (SENI) is back online," AES Dominicana said in a statement .

However it said the Los Mina V and VI plants, of 118 megawatts each, will be taken of line because they don’t have sufficient natural gas reserves.
