Santo Domingo. – The group said its combined cycle powerplant AES Andres, that contributes 300 megawatts to the national grid, will be out of service for inspection as of Saturday November 22, work that it said will take an estimated 48 hours.

The company said AES Andres requires inspection after it underwent maintenance on October 21, at the manufacturer’s request to verify it’s is optimal operation.

In an emailed statement, AES Dominicana affims that it’s the main private sector investor in energy, through the companies AES Andres, Dominican Power Partners and Itabo, S.A., “whose contributions show our commitment with the secure electricity supply by having power stations with modern technology and low production cost, using natural gas and coal as fuel.”

these energy sector spokesmen speak with code words; inspection meaning "were going to inspect the bank account and see if we got paid" and maintainence meaning "we're going to shut down until we see if the payments and bank balance are being maintained"

In this case Segura will probably keep his mouth shut, as AES already provided the excuse for him.
Buckle up for another weekend without electricity if you're in the EDEESTE zone...
