Santo Domingo.- The National Border Council (CNF) asked Venezuela's support and cooperation to repair and finish the international highway between Dominican Republic and Haiti, and said policies and actions are needed to improve the living conditions of people along the border.
A group of officials who traveled to Venezuela headed by CNF president ambassador Radhamés Batista presented these proposals as part a series of activities.

HAAAhAAA, oh my side hurts,
Travel Autopista Route 9 from Caracas to Puerto la Cruz and then ask yourself if you want Venezuela to finish the highway. There is a section of that Autopista that has been under construction for at least 12 years and it covers no more than 6 KM's. The rest of the "highway" is best traveled by 4 x 4.

Look at those fat little faces enjoying a free trip to Venezuela, begging for money from crazy Hugo. Don't they know that he has no money right now.

funny, it takes a twelve man delegation to do the same thing that any derelict can do by himself; beg for money! another vacation at the public's expense. then Leonel will remind us that it is the fault of those putrid Americans, with their sleazy policies, that we are broke!

What are the benefits of such a highway? Facilitate more illegal trafficking, more illegal urbanization, more maintenance budget, etc.! I still don't know why Venezuela got to be involve in this? Why? Did Chavez made a promise or the socialists have plans for this road?

There is nothing in for HUGO in these two nations . No harm on trying thought, he might. be stupid enogh to help useless cause. Don't they believe on diplomatic protocol by going over it?.
Where are the two refineries he proposed in the ISLAND ? Unless it was call off since the DR politicians could not get their kickback as they do with BRAZIL over priced obsolite military planes.
In any case that stupid delegation sent to Venezuela on a free ride at DR tax payer expense, so they could have a nice vacation for themselves should had never happen. That embarasses the DR as well as their president..

seriously, though, what is it with this country ,that half the island has to go on these little begging jaunts? Leo took what probably was a small village to the middle east, and now we have the 12 disciples going to beg for forty pieces of silver. is this a case of moral support?

A progressive political system that takes the power away from wealth creators and gives it to wealth distributors. Wealth distributors are typically a class of highly trained government bureaucrats who are being watched by a class of political commissars, who, in turn, are being watched by a class of secret police, all of whom are banded together by shared progressive morals. Because progressive morals are relative by definition, a certain measure of absolute propaganda is necessary to encourage collectivism and discourage counter revolution. Since such propaganda is delivered through mass media, arts, and schools, a degree of ideological monopoly, uniformity, and censorship is also required in those fields. The resulting mass enthusiasm creates a vibrant state-subsidized culture, leading to great economic successes and technological breakthroughs, e.g., in North Korea or,Venezuela

American propaganda is so different. For weeks on end news channles such as CNN, tell the public nothing of what is going on in the World. At the same time they screen endless adverts for gaz-guzzlers and useless consumer items. Everyone agrees they should buy a truck with a larger engine, MacMansions, giant refrigerators, drugs for restless leg syndorme or whatever.
The plutocrats in Washington quietly discuss foreign policy and whether to give preferential taxes to bow and arrow manufacturers. Also the they receive large sums and holiday jaunts from 'sponsors' special intrerest groups. These groups spend billions on adverts that if they do not contain pure lies and deception are hardly balanced.
Meanwhile millions of citizens are excluded and exist on food stamps.

But without better regulations everyone in banking tells lies - credit rating agencies as well.
"Assets were It said that the assets inside both SIVs had an average credit rating of Aa1/AA+ and that there had been no downgrades of any asset-backed securities or structured finance securities to date. "
No other bank trading in the US has taken this type of asset onto balance sheet.

You are correct in SIngapore you do not go to prison for drugs -The penalty is death, adultry that leads to a crime of passion is also punnishable by death is all Islamic nations-No exception.
You are four times less likely to be incarcerated in China than USA.- China also executes for crimes that is the US or UK would garner time in Jail.
