Santo Domingo.- Rolando Gonzalez-Bunster, of EGE-Haina, and Lee Won Gul, of Korea’s KEPCO, recently signed an agreement to build US$500 million coal power plant in the Dominican Republic.

 

EGE-Haina public relations director Marta Fernandez said the company is also planning a wind park to generate electricity in the country’s southwest, a project which she says would lower Dominican Republic’s dependence on fossil fuels.
