Lisandro Macarrulla calls proposals to face crisis unrealistic

SANTO DOMINGO.- National Business Council (Conep) president Lisandro Macarrulla considers the presidential candidates’ electoral proposals similar and not based on realistic criteria to confront the crisis which affects the country it its proper dimension.

Nevertheless, he said business leaders have the willingness to work, after the electoral contest, in a scenario national agreement to look for  joint way the solutions and improvements that the nation requires.

Macarrulla said when the current political process’ passions subside after May 16, the national leaders will have to face great challenges and hard tests, as the population begins to see the reality and realize that there are many structural problems need correcting.

He said from an economic standpoint Conep believes the country also faces one of its greatest challenges of all times, from the world as well as the national situation, which implies making hard decisions to help correct distortions.

Josean, the more I read about the man, and my own dislike for the other three groups,

I see no other alternative but to give Guillermo Moreno the chance he might deserve, and for God's sake, let's just hope he is really different from the current politicians.

Like you I have my apprehension about voting for anybody, being burnt so many times, however I have not found anything negative on this gentleman. I can only tell you I have a positive gut feeling and in politics unfortunately sometimes that is all you can go by.

What I have been doing, among those of our countrymen who follow politics closely as apparently most of us do here on DT, is I ask them if you did not vote for Amable, Lionel or Miguel, depending on their affiliation who would you vote for? Most say they would vote for Guillermo.

This is definitely not a scientific poll , but may be their is something developing here, defintely not during this election but for the next cycle.
