Santo Domingo.- Industry and Commerce minister Melanio Paredes yesterday proposed that the Gasoline Retailers Association (Anadegas) create a legal and technical commission to review for 15 days the laws which regulates the fuels market, proposal the retailers finally accepted.

The decision was taken after a meeting of Government and Anadegas representatives that began at 1 p.m. and concluded after 4 p.m.

Anadegas defended the installation of the special pumps to sell propane gas (LPG) in gasoline stations.

The commission would include six lawyers suggested by Anadegas, the LPG distributors, Industry and Commerce and an independent technician, who’ll act as a referee in the process to revise and formulate recommendations.

Paredes promised to respond to the gasoline retailers’ demands.
