Santo Domingo .- Various local and international organizations presented the preliminary results of the regional Tele-disability investigation: Telework for the inclusion of persons with work disabilities, research conducted by the Commission on TIC users in Argentina and involves 9 countries in the region, funded by Canada’s International Development and Research Center (IDRC).
The presentation of the analysis deals with the employment situation and profile of disabled people in nine Latin American and Caribbean countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay), and will take place 8:30 a.m., September 18, in the Hotel Lina.
Among the entities which took part in the study are the National Council on Disability (CONADIS), the Ibero-American Network of Disabled People, the Labor Ministry’s National Employment Service (SENA), the National Commission for the Society of Information and Knowledge (CNSIC) and the United Nations Development Program’s (UNDP) Office of Human Development.
