SANTO DOMINGO.- The Dominican Government signed an agreement on Thursday with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), which will donate US$1 million to design and start to integrate the Santo Domingo Metro’s Feeder Routes System.
Economy minister Temístocles Montas made the announcement in the National Palace, accompanied by IDB representative in the country Manuel Labrado.
Montas said the feeder routes will be of great importance since it will complement the Metro’s capacity, whereas Transport Reform Office representative Milciades Perez said it’s a pilot plan expected to make it easier for passengers in the sectors La Punta, Sabana Perdida, Villa Mella, La Victoria, Haras Nacionales and Nueva Isabela to reach the northernmost Mama Tingó station.
