Apordom director Jose Francisco Peña Guaba
SANTO DOMINGO.- The Dominican Port Authority (Apordom) on Wednesday denied mentioning that the company San Soucí PortsTourist Investments owes it money, affirming that its files don’t show it, and apologized for any inconvenience from the information.
"At no time did we offer individual numbers of debt with Sans Soucí Ports Tourist Investments, SA," said Commercial and Port services director Pedro Ricardo Cordero, in a letter sent yesterday to the company’s president Lisandro Macarrulla.
However in a Tuesday press conference Apordom’s Legal Adviser and other official, demanded payment of RD$991.9 million from several companies, including Sans Souci Ports Tourist Investments, for RD$2.3 million; RD$49.9 million from Multiquimica Dominicana, owned by State-owned power companies CDEEE Executive vice-president Celso Marranzini; RD$11.3 million from AES Andres; RD$15.2 million from Itabo and RD$3.1 million from Condonave and Shell.
However Apordom’s Press department later announced that Sans Soucí Ports Tourist Investments had paid the debt, whereas Marranzini’s company doesn’t owe any money until the agency’s Council assigns a special Easement feel for dock usage.

So to clear few things, as obviously few guys here have no knowledge about Dominican politics.
(as Glomarexplorer, with kids opinion).
So, Peña Guaba is Jose Francisco Peña Guaba, son of late Peña Gomez. Gomez was born in Mao, Dominican Republic (Haitian origin), finished UASD University and then went to study at Sorbonne, Paris.
Had two son with late Doña Lala, Tony and Jose Guaba.
Peña Gomez used to be City Major of Santo Domingo.
Even though they have Haitian origin, this family has great education, and are great Dominican patriots.
The fact that Peña Gomez was black (more black then Obama Husein is) was the reason that he could not win Presidential elections in Dominican Republic.
The same thing is projecting on his sons, well Tony was sent 5 years to NY to be Dominican consul, and Peña Guaba was responsible for publishing books of Peña Gomez in their priniting company Santo Domingo Interfair. Then he was director of Idnespre, then Loto, and now Apordom.

Milos,
Why don't you give us something of substance on this guy.
Nothing you have indicated elevates this guy to a position of honor. Being nominated consul in DR means absolutely nothing, and it amounts to political favor/payback based on connections, not qualifications. The dishonorable Julio Romero is a great example of that.
BTW, my paternal grandparents were either diplomats or the children of diplomats-French!
As for education, these days everyone is well educated. As for publishing, many of us are published.
I see nothing that would indicate to me I am not worthy of shining this oversize, corrupt and worthless government official's shoes. Quite the contrary, I don't believe he is qualified to wash my tennis sneakers.
Perhaps you could continue shining his shoes, washing and waxing his yipeta and exhibiting gratuitous and unnecessary adulation of an oligarch who exemplifies the sum total of everything we've come to hate about Dominican government officials

Milos,
Your hyper-sensitivity doesn't surprise me, given your background.
You are effectively a refugee in my country, and you've taken to aggressively attacking us natives with your overt brown-nosing and extolment of empty and non-existent attributes of worthless gov’t officials who are generally despised by most. In short, you are not being very gracious or grateful. Perhaps that will some day make you a candidate for deportation to the whole you escaped from.
In your past comments, you were extolling the attributes of the Pena Gomez family as a whole, including Tony, and my response was within that context.
Aggression is the main weapon of ignorance which, in your case, has become most transparent.
You are sort of like a lone ranger, who is always swimming against the current and always on the opposite side of reason. At least you are consistent; I'll give you credit for that!

Milovic,
As for mixing with upper class, I don't have to be a pretender, for my family name and lineage established that long before you were born. We are very prominent in all aspects of Dominican society and at the highest levels......all the way to a former president. BTW, all honest money, for we are business owners, college educators, judges, builders, exporters/importers, industrialists, bankers, farm owners [large scale], hoteliers; etc.
You talk about Pena Gomez, but I doubt you've ever met him. I have, in my parent's living room. His son, Pena Guaba, clearly doesn't represent him well, at least not from my recollection or that of my father's.
