Santo Domingo.- To promote investment in renewable energy in the country, the sale of products, equipment and services in that sector, Dominican Republic’s American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAMDR) will host a business forum, said the entity’s energy committee president, Rodolfo Cabello.
He said the event, dubbed “Renewable Energy Business Forum 2009.” will take place November 5 and 6 in the Hotel Meliá Santo Domingo, and includes presentations by local and foreign experts on the legal framework and incentives to promote investment in renewable energy projects.
Interviewed by newspaper El Caribe together with AMCHAMDR commercial services manager Ilka Gomez, Cabello said the Forum will address business opportunities and exchanges, and financing for social and environmentally sustainable initiatives.
Gomez said the program provides opportunity to develop new projects in the country, with the support of AMCHAMDR.
