It must be a macho feeling that turns the drivers of heavy vehicles into such irresponsible people ..as if Dominican car drivers were not bad enough . and the trucks have such old tyres and poor lights and brakes

xwill7, how do you expect food and goods to get to your stores,
gas to get to your pumps,
construction materials to get to contructions sites if the ban heavy vehicles from using national roads.
you are holding two candles in your hands praying with one to get things and praying with the other to loose things.
What about retraining the truck drivers, reeducating them and have them pass safety and driving routine examinations. What about asking delivery companies to stop putting pressure on them ?
Any male Dominican with their macho attitude will drive the same dangerous and erractic way if put behind the steering of a big wheel including xwill7 and the other pharisians.
When a driver observes all the traffic rules and drives in safe and courteous manner they get picked on and are called sissies or gringos.
My male Dominicans friends tell me that the traffic signs are to impress the foreigners. They do not observe them.
