Santo Domingo.– Economists and businessmen expect the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will dynamize the Dominican economy during next year´s fist half, with a lot of money circulating, a broadening tax base and several public expenditures.

Members from the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santiago expect that 2010 will see a change in the economic model that will allow to successfully overcome great financial challenges.

On the other hand, the National Commercial Businesses Organization (ONEC) chief Pedro Perez said the best thing for the State is to look at 2010 from an economic perspective as a whole and not as two halves, so it can guarantee stability and avoid postponing the solution of the country's deep problems such as corruption and deficits accumulated over decades in health and education.

"Dynamize" is the correct spelling of the English verb, [not dinamize] a very rarely used word in English. What Spanish word was it translated from? I won a spelling bee once, @ age 9; I can't change! Be patient with me. thank you.

Look at 2010 as a whole not as two halves. In other words, the first six months will suck, the last 6 months will "dinamize" the economy. LOL Lies, Lies, Lies.....

We borrowed $200,000,000 from the World Bank to pay our electricity generators. Of course, once we got the money it was spent on other things, and now the government says it doesn't have that money. Why would anyone believe that the money borrowed from the IMF will reach the purposes for which it was borrowed?

actually, whether it is dinamize, dinamise dynamize or dynamise,it is not an english verb but some one has tried to use the adjective dynamic and make it into a verb ..americans try these things sometimes ,But apart from that ,the news is really very easy to predict as the economies around the world rebound and here in the DR you have to be blind Freddy not to see the more business being done ..we were very fortunate to obtain the cheap IMF loans after the London G20 meeting that really set the tone of looking after the smaller economies .
The predicted rise in GDP is very good and if we follow the World bank desire to see the economic gains spread better across the various social levels ,then much has been accomplished. We now have new books in the schools which is another good sign .

The moon is made out of cheese.

Pigs can fly.

We will have 24/7 electricity from today on.

The electrical generators will be fully paid this year.

None of our government officials lie , take bribes, or steal from us.

Yes we can believe everything our government officials say.

If these statements are all true I have a big bridge I would like to sell to you cheap.

Actually, this article was about the economic growth that is occurring in the DR ..yes It would be great if the poor could benefit more from the economic growth but I have noticed that many Dominicans do not believe in assisting those less fortunate ..I suppose that as wealth is so new to them ,they want to enjoy it all for themselves,

Are those the same economists that could not predict the crash of 2008? Then I don't believe a word.
God asked three economists to design the horse, that is how the camel was created.LOL.

Yes it is so sad to see the DR continually being bashed by people here who seem to want to stop investment and tourists entering the DR with their continued attacks .Everyone knows this country is not perfect but it is still a paradise compared to many other countries .

Pigmeat production is up and increasing. Huge strides forward are being made. It is very noticeable here - much more local food production with trucks selling surplus. Many houses being built, many new motorcycles. The new bean crop is in and prices have reduced. Many more children have internet access and this a big dynamic in education.

Excuse me for saying.......Maybe this "Pig meat production up and increasing" is due to the overwhelming influx of the Muslim growing population and their political pull ?
What part of the United wild Kingdom do you live in ?

Lean pig meat is less likley to lead to obesity than chicken or beef. All production increases are to be applauded. 2008 statistic was 72150 tonnes.
