Pellegrin Castillo (son of Vincho Castillo) has always fought to stop illegal Haitian immigration and has a long record of protecting the territories of the DR in land, air and seas.
The immigration law has been approved but the rules for enforcement have not been done because of the pressure from many powerful lobbies, including government, agricultural sections and construction moguls, and maybe even the Haitian big business and Haitian government representatives in DR that do not want the law to be enforced.

It is the Haitian-Fucú that follows them wherever they go because of dealing with black magic
and the horrible crimes they committed, and keep committing against their own people and Dominicans. Plus their tendency to live in a surreal fantasy world, typical of slave mentality and
just hoping for a Maná or savior to descend from heaven (or an airplane) and hand them to their waiting hands, great prosperity without them doing anything to help bring that about.
The US doesn't want the Haitians to come on boats, that is why they have a permanent US Navy patrol and blockade around Haiti to stop and send back any boats coming to the US.
They would rather have them keep coming to the DR, "the land of plenty", and want to somehow force us to accept them as citizens.
It is happening as we speak, and the scary thing is once they are here, they will NOT want to return, so we Dominicans think it is going to be easy to send them back. Wake up!

This a powder keg that will soon explode! I believe what he says partially, but haitians don't have nothing to look forward in Haiti. So they naturally cross the border to get any job for any salary, that's what keeps the wages low for the common dominican trying to compete with an underpaid workforce. A practice that occurs in the four corners of the world, and at the same time is creating a class of extremely poor people versus a small class of extremely wealthy people, when it comes to equality in standards of living and net worth. Things have to change or the rollercoaster ride will spiral downwards instead of up and down which still leads to major losses for the majority.

Lautaro,
Conceptions of race, as well as specific ways of grouping races, vary by culture and over time, and are often controversial for scientific as well as social and political reasons. The controversy ultimately revolves around whether or not the concept of race is biologically warranted (which I think it is not); the ways in which political correctness might fuel either the affirmation or the denial of race; and the degree to which perceived differences in ability and achievement, categorized on the basis of race, are a product of inherited (i.e., genetic) traits or environmental, social and cultural factors (i.e the bell curve).

Well, if you would use the dominican definition of race, then yes, it could be said that it's race baiting. However, were you to analyze the situation using the US "one drop rule", then the race baiting charge would be an absolute falsehood, as both populations are equally "black" under the one drop lens, the difference lying only in the fact that one population is kreyol speaking while the other is spanish speaking.

Jacirez 90% of Dominicans don't have any haitian blood running through there veins stop the B.S., maybe 5% or 6% and those are most likely black Dominicans. The fact is the Haitian incursions in our side of the island created such an extreme hatred, that those people despised Haitians to such a degree that miscegenation was something seen as deplorable especially in the colonial period and non-colonial period where blacks were seen as inferiors. Even in the horrid 22 year occupation by Haiti people were not intermarrying Haitians, they were seen as merely blood thirsty invaders, and that's the truth.

I haven't spoken "ignorant" in a long while; but I'll try:
Haiti's regional, historical, and ethnolinguistic position is unique for several reasons. It was the first independent nation in the Caribbean, the first post-colonial independent black-led nation in the world, and the only nation whose independence was gained as part of a successful slave rebellion. Haiti is officially a presidential republic, although it is often claimed to be authoritarian in practice. Suffrage is universal, for adults over 18. The constitution was modeled after those of the United States and of France. It was approved in March 1987, but it was completely suspended from June 1988 to March 1989 and was only fully reinstated in October 1994.

Those Haitian (educated in Spanish) are going to lower the salaries in medicine, law, communication, chemical engineering and chemistry, banking, and even industrial jobs will suffer wages erosion. Those Haitian sent more than $400 million dollar per year to Haiti as remittance (wealth transfer).
Everyone knows that the Haitian are here to displace the locals from land, jobs, and subsidies! Therefore, the poor with Dominican nationality should fight for their rights against the foreigners who are crowding out the locals from opportunities!
From: Dominican Republic
Haiti is not a race is a nationality! Therefore, racism is irrelevant in this case! We regard to races, before mankind learned to read, write, and talk with a language the human race has several human species (many have extinguished) of which Homosapien Homosapien is still here. Race is a survival adaptation characteristic brought by evolution and by sexual appeal.
Geographical isolation lead to races and so WE SHOULD NOT DESTROY THE RACES FOR THE SAKE OF HUMAN IDEOLOGY (MIXING UNTIL ALL RACES DISAPPEAR). RACE is an important human characteristic that may help humanity stand against challenges. Nature incurs diversity in every species to improve its chances of survival (ask the Praying Mantis). So DO NOT SUPERIMPOSE HUMAN IDEALS ON NATURE'S LAW! LIVE WITH IT!

For some months, I have traveled and traversed the frontier in every sense of the word. I have seen, investigated, and inquired about the needs of the population. To the Dominicans who were complaining of the depredations by Haitians living among them, thefts of cattle, provisions, fruits, etc., and were thus prevented from enjoying in peace the products of their labor, I have responded, ‘I will fix this.’ And we have already begun to remedy the situation. Three hundred Haitians are now dead in Bánica. This remedy will continue.

I wouldn't have any problems with that, josean. They're sovereign to do as they please with their territory, just as we should be in ours. Moreover, there's a difference in both cases, josean: on our case, US trade policies, along with their support for our elites, are the main culprits for the dominican migration to the US. On Haiti's case, as I told you before, the DR hasn't had a candle on that funeral, so we shouldn't being forced to pay for the broken dishes of the party that the elites and the foreign powers have had with that country. You're treating the DR as if it were an imperialistic power, when we're far from even being a middle income country.

Illegal Dominicans are deported back instantly from the USA when caught, they are persecuted and have to
live in the subterranean cash world as long as they do not have papers.
They are economic exiles but they try to blend in, learn the language and respect the customs in the USA, they do not demand, displace Americans from jobs and beg in the streets like Haitians do in DR.
They are not crowding the health and education resources of the already poor like Haitians do in DR, we are not a rich country, there are many poor here as well. The US is a rich country that has traditionally exploited and benefitted from immigration. We have been invaded and exploited by foreign powers like Spain, France and the United States. We have been invaded and our population almost extinguished by the Haitian genocide conducted on us, by the murderous Haitian army.
So your comparison is lacking and bias.

I am not trying to convince anyone. Like Lautaro rightfully said every country has the right to enforce their own immigration regulations as they please.
But if you do not consider yourself xenophobic neither do I like being labelled xenophobic.
I don't dislike Haitians, I love Haitian culture, paintings, music, food, even their language and customs. Xenophobia is an intense dislike and/or fear of people from other countries.
So the term is not being used correctly by you as a description of my beliefs other than as a parrot
voicing some heard before accusation to put one in the defensive.

Etiennc Ha Ha Ha you're last post is hilarious. Just because country's are not at war it don't mean that nations are at peace or don't have disagreements. Etiennc let me warn you, that if the poorest dominican citizen unfortunately finds himself or herself marginalized imagine an illegal haitian. Have you ever analyzed that mr. etiennc, have you ever paid attention to that reality sir. If you think that haitian illegals will climb the ladder of power in D.R. you're better off believing the story of the tooth fairy. Haitians are just going to be marginalized until they get tired of living in D.R. and move on somewhere else. Remember time is the enemy of the haitian people and the time will come when people are going to pick arms and say "BASTA YA PA' FUERA HAITIANOS!!!!! NO JODAN MAS."

No, because "blacks" are as usamerican as any redneck living on a backward village in the Appalaches, a thing that can't be said of the haitians living in the DR, which maintain themselves separated from the general population, be it by inability to conform to dominican customs or by choice. They're as foreigners to us as the european/usamericans that are living in gated communities all over the country, so stop trying to Jim Crow us already, would you? Your malicious comparison with southern (and northern) US racists simply just don't hold, unless you believe Leonel's assertion of our being a "Nueba Yol chiquito" (which would be mightily ironic and amusing in itself, seeing as how you have proclaimed yourself his sworn enemy time and again). The fact that we might be a little New York for the haitians fleeing their country in droves doesn't make us one at the end of the day.

The fact is that over 90% of Dominicans like it or not have traces of black descendants in their blood. That means you and me also.
This is a fact as much as that we have Taino blood in most Dominicans as well. We are a mixed race culture and can only feel racially supremacist by lack of information or cultural bias.
The issue is not to be confused by pulling the race card on Dominican patriotism. Haitians are discriminated against in mostly black islands throughout the Caribbean and are treated much worse than Dominicans and expelled swiftly and kept in jails under inhuman conditions.
As Dominicans we have tolerated and accepted the unarmed Haitian invasion as a charitable and most hospitable nation that we are, and the Haitians are paying us back in their desperation wanting to steal our land, rape our forests, take our jobs, stress our education and health facilities and give us a bad
reputation on purpose to hurt our tourism industry.

As long as D.R. keeps practically an open border policy the country will remain stigmatized by the international community and it all comes down to us unfortunately sharing the island with a country with a legacy of death and destruction. Haiti has brought upon itself a very negative image of unstable governance, civil unrest and extreme poverty. You can see it on programming as old as late 70's early 80's "In Search Of" in a short documentary about Haiti and Voodoo the host of the show Leonard Nimoy mentions the problems of said country as if he was talking of the state of present day Haiti. And that program is several decades old, Haiti as a nation has not changed and will remain in a quaqmire as long as the country remains a bastion of corruption. Another thing Generoso we are not 95% pure black like Haiti, we are a mixed country. Don't confuse the average Haitian with the majority Dominican, those 1.5 million Haitians are not the fabric of our society they are simply foreigners.

Year 2010
An strong Earthquake has splited the island of Hispanola into two seperate islands fortunatetly along the haitian Dominican border
All haitians (code words for black Dominicans) have left the new formed island of Dominican Republic island to establish themselves in the new formed island of Haiti
Gitzmo, Kmnupe.Vacanos,Letroudeballe.are so happy that start speaking in a strange tongue
sounds like a mixture of taino and Spanish. They are under psychaitric evaluation
General Roso the new head of the Dominican police has brought the Brugal company
Prediction has at least two things : Important and hard.
Important because we have to act
hard because we have to realize the future we want and what is the best way to get there
A prediction is valid if the prdicator is a knowledgeable person and employs accurate data.

The immigration law has been approved but the rules for enforcement have not been done because of the pressure from many powerful lobbies, including government, agricultural sections and construction moguls, and maybe even the Haitian big business and Haitian government representatives in DR that do not want the law to be enforced.
Many of you know me already and that i have been stressing this point since the begining of my time here at DT... Haitian immigration lowers poor dominicans wages and forces them to risk their lives at sea trying to reach the US economic zone.
and the horrible crimes they committed, and keep committing against their own people and Dominicans.
Wake up!
"...The presence of the illegal Haitian manpower, which I call an industrial reserve army, is what causes the salaries of the Dominicans to head downward and in complicity with the authorities’ indifference..."
Not race baiting...?
Jacirez i would like to break it down 4 you but i'm not good at spoonfeeding retards.
maybe lautaro or generoso can they're more patience than me
Wow! I'm impressed you can write full sentences now...Just remember, after a period, the first letter of the next sentence is capitalized; such that instead of "...you but i'm not good at spoonfeeding retards. maybe lautaro or generoso...", you should have written "...you but i'm not good at spoonfeeding retards. Maybe lautaro or generoso...". Also you should have put in a comma after the name Jacirez...
All in all very impressive. Maybe we will let you stay around when we (the grownups) are talking...ataboy.
Shhhh, growups are talking now...
"...that's what keeps the wages low for the common dominican trying to compete with an underpaid workforce. A practice that occurs in the four corners of the world, and at the same time is creating a class of extremely poor people versus a small class of extremely wealthy people..."
That was a rather insightful statement; which adds a lot to the discussion.
Thank you for your contribution
May our conversation serve as an example on how to conduct an intelligent argument. My sincere thanks; you have provided me with insightful opinions that will enrich my own.
Much respect to you, my friend.

But i like to ask you since you are such an intellectual mind, why is it that haiti is such a black hole, why is it that people like you that seen to be educated don't debate ways to pull your miserable country out of extreme poverty instead of wasting your time here calling me and all dominicanz racist.
please esplain.
You add all these factors together and you're left with an honest-to-god failed state. Pure and Simple...
you are not as retarded as i thought.
why don't you go to the forum home and open a new one with this topic.
Well, thank you, old_school_Haitiano. That's very kind of you...

Everyone knows that the Haitian are here to displace the locals from land, jobs, and subsidies! Therefore, the poor with Dominican nationality should fight for their rights against the foreigners who are crowding out the locals from opportunities!
So don't bring me statistics so that I can feel sorry for Haiti! That is your problem and I should not be the recipient of your problems! I got my own problems too!
