SANTO DOMINGO.- President Leonel Fernandez appointed Banks superintendent Rafael Camilo director of the Customs Agency, to replace the late Miguel Cocco.

The TV producer and member of the Monetary Board, Ramón Núñez Ramírez provided the information in his Telesistema Channel 11 program, who added that Camilo himself revealed his designation.

Hard act to follow, but good man to swallow.
Miguel Cocco's high standards will seldom be matched, and more so with the descending amounts
of customs collections, because of the global recession.
Good choice regardless.

this guy has to follow in the footsteps of someone who really made a difference Let us hope he can carry and lift the integrity of this famously corrupt agency on its return from the" Dark Side " .Nothing will inhibit outside investment more than a crooked customs department. The third world {Developing World }is riddled with the corpses of countries that think otherwise.
