President Fernandez heads a previous meeting.
SANTO DOMINGO.- President Leonel Fernandez is currently heading a meeting with the Government’s energy team, in which the main topic is reportedly the national electrical system’s difficult situation.
Vice president Rafael Alburquerque, the vice-president of the State-owned electrical companies, CDEEE, Radhamés Segura, among other officials are taking part in the meeting.
Fernandez began the week with work meetings in the National Palace after returning last night to San Isidro Airbase at 8:30 p.m. from New York, the last leg of a 10 day visit to Israel and Egypt, where he met with those nations’ leaders, and with the presidents of Libya and of the Palestinian people.
During his Middle Eastern tour the Head of State visited Israel’s Electrical Corporation, to observe their efficient energy system and to seek cooperation with different countries in that area.

Is someone going to tell me that at some point LF doesn't ask Segura about the accusations, (probably true) that he is stealing millions through his family payroll expense and his giving expensive overpriced deals from CDEEE to a company that he owns?

Here's what we got for the millions that we spent on their vacation:
The DR's potential participation as an observer in the African Union and the DR's cooperation with Algeria and Angola in the areas of electricity, are strengthening the country's relationship with the African continent.
On his return from accompanying President Leonel Fernandez on his 10-day trip to the Middle East, Foreign Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso says that these African nations are now among the DR's strongest allies.
Whoopee. Happy days are here again. Although come to think of it, if those two countries are among your strongest allies, you have a BIG problem.

Miguel Vargas: PRD president
Miguel Vargas Maldonado was sworn in as president of the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD) by Virgilio Bello Rosa at an event held at the Sans Souci Convention Hall over the weekend. In his acceptance speech, Vargas promised that his party would continue to act in the defense of the best interests of the people, taking the role of a critical, firm and responsible opposition against the government's errors, misconduct and bad actions, he told the audience of over 5,000 delegates gathered for the event. He criticized the Fernandez administration's lack of capacity to solve national problems. "Where they have been capable is in wasting the people's money and overseeing the greatest corruption in the history of the nation," he said.
He promised he would modernize the PRD using Internet technology.

If Leonel paid the generators the $US 350,000,000. they are owed then there will be power.
LF is relying on credit to massage his way into another term.
Nobody can expect a supplier to supply a commodity without being paid.
I am looking forward to a coup in the DR, which will not resolve the problem with credit however it will get that idiot (LF and his cronies) out of office once and for all.
Perhaps then the next government will not be so rash as to consider corruption as a means of supplemental income.

We have to admit that the vast majority, it happens constantly on these threads, come here only to pick a fight, no interest in a civil discussion or exchange. They just come here to throw dirt at the country and if you post something they don't like they replay back with nonsense, like the one posted by this monumental moron.
