SANTO DOMINGO.- Dominican Republic and Guyana may sign an agreement allowing their citizens to travel between both countries without a visa, aimed at increasing trade and cultural interchange between the two Caribbean nations.

President Leonel Fernandez Guyana colleague Bahrrat Jagdeo dealt with the topic of the visa during a luncheon in the National Palace yesterday, Foreign Relations minister Carlos Morales, at the end  the meeting.

Jagdeo, who’s also the Caribbean Community’s (CARICOM) Pro-tempore President, arrived at the National Palace at 3:55 p.m., where Morales received him as part of the Guyana leader’s official visit to the country.

What BS is this? I am pro-trade and building relations, but Guyana already enters the DR without a Visa, although their GDP is 1/3 that of the DR. DR on the other hand, needs a visa to go nearly everywhere.
