Minister Mariano Browne
Zoom Picture

Port of Spain.– Trinidad and Tobago Minister of Trade Mariano Browne urged the private sectors of Dominican Republic and his country to continue embracing the opportunities in trade and investment.

During his speech at a two-day business forum between the two nations at the Hilton Trinidad, Browne ointed out there are opportunities for trade and investment between Trinidad and Tobago and the Dominican Republic, outside the energy sector.

He said Trinidad and Tobago enjoyed a record 15 years of economic growth and was only now experiencing an economic slowdown. He also mentioned exports to the Dominican Republic expanded by 105.5 per cent over the past seven years but were largely dependent on the energy sector.

"We are transforming Trinidad Tobago into a regional hub for business and trade by enhancing the business environment, promoting investment and of course, seeking market access and key partnerships with our regional colleagues," Browne stated.

Enrico

Well said not the nicest way of putting it but some how this trade partnership to me won't bring much to DR when we are trying to become the hub of the caribbean why would we want to let Trinidad do it.

Is there any country in the world that is run by Blacks that is doing well?

What is the percentage of Blacks in jail in the US as opposed to whites for violent crime?

Why is Hati in the position it is in now? How come Hati and the Dominican Republic on the same island and Hati looks like a pig sty and DR looks like a garden?

Why is it that all the violent crime in Trinidad being comitted by blacks? Why is it that Blacks create slums wherever they go? Lavantille, Maloney, Tobago Road (even US and NA)?

Why is it that Indians are the target of most of the kidnapping in T&T?

Why is it that the head of each public company is Black?

I could go on. But maybe thse truths offend the fragile Black ego. But enough is enough.

You prove my point with your "eloquent words!'

Vulgar insults usually mean a lack of intellectually developed capacity to hold civil discourse.

antonio1, i fail to understand the nexus between the DR establishing closer ties with Trinidad, and black people despoiling the planet. i would ask you to explain it to me, but, alas, a man of your diminimus intellectual firepower might experience severe discomfort formulating a reply consonant with the mind of a five year old. does your mother know that you are playing with the PC again?
