Santo Domingo.– Paragon Airheater Technologies, the fastest-growing manufacturer of high-performance seals and basketed elements for rotary, regenerative airheaters used in power plants, have been implemented and are showing significant improvement in the operations of AES Dominicana.

The products installed by AES Dominican have resulted in improved plant efficiency and reduced carbon emissions. The decision to purchase was made after a review of other alternatives to determine the most cost effective way to reduce carbon emissions and lower operating costs.

Paragon’s exclusive and patented design for both radial and circumferential/bypass seals surpass the original equipment manufacturer standards, thus minimizing leakage and providing maximum performance, durability and airheater efficiency, the California-based company said.

AES is pleased with the early results and value that Paragon’s sealing solutions have brought to their company. Reducing leakage and increasing plant efficiency has enabled AES to burn less fuel thus resulting in cost savings and reduction in carbon emission.

This article only shows how little is being done to avoid installing proper emission controls on exhaust stacks or buying fuel low in sulfur content.
These seals only prevent leakage of heat and do nothing for pollution control except reduce operating costs due to inefficincies.
The article is simply political advertising and is almost an outright lie..

The only thing they do to reduce greenhouse gasses is to NOT GIVE ELECTRIC half the day. What a joke.

It is very difficult to clean up the Ozama now ..remember that after the heavy rains about 16 months ago ,more than 20 boats sunk in the river and are still there and crocodiles escaped into the river .but i agree that something needs to be done with the river and the slums along the river .

There are many company's in the DR that are working to clean the environment, and produce more power for less cost. Learn why your power is cut off before you blame the power generators.
These plants operate 24/7, its the distributors that are shutting you off
