Santo Domingo.- State-owned Reservas bank (Banreservas) administrator Daniel Toribio on Sunday announced RD$2.0 billion to finance vehicles in the fair to be staged simultaneously around the country, in 64 authorized concessionaires and dealers.
He said the bank already opened a pre sale so clients can start the financing procedures before the inaugural of Expomovil Banreservas 2010, to take place from the 12th to the 14th.
The official affirmed that the RD$2.0 billion for credits to buy vehicles through concessionaires and their representatives is one more example of the financial sector’s confidence in the economy’s growth, and on returns from investments.
Toribio added that the fair’s facilities include approval at the best market rate, as well as financing for insurance coverage, through Banreservas Insurance.

It would have been a bit pointless having this rather large car -mart if no one had the money to buy cars so to loosen the strings for car purchases seems oportune ..The car industry is very important as there are so many secondary industries associated with it and so pesos spent on a car purchase lead to a chain of economic activity ...insurance,licences,car maintenance,repairs,extras and so on . Thus when you are trying to stimulate the economy ,the car industry is a natural first choice
