SANTO DOMINGO. - Public Ethics Committee president Marino Vinicio Castillo called on the public and private sectors to revamp the structures and statutes which would lead to shared responsibilities and controls of the port operations.

The official made the suggestion during the swearing in of the members of the Presidency’ Port Modernization and Security Commission.

“It’s necessary to establish control with homogeneity to strike an ideal balance within the sectors, since nobody can demand exclusivity, since crimes and social traumas of an international scale enter through, and begin at the ports.”
