Santo Domingo. - Google begins to hint at a heightened interest in Latin America where it has already appointed a delegate in Peru and its director for new markets visited Dominican Republic last week to analyze the possibilities of having another delegate for Central America and the Caribbean.
Daniel Gertsacov, interviewed by listin.com.do, detailed the country’s Internet projections and the advantages of advertising on the Web.
He said his visit to the country aims to make Google more open to markets with the potential to develop the Internet. “We came to get to know the market, to understand the piece of the publicity pie that’s in the Internet, aware that it’s 15% in the United States and 22% in Europe.”
Gertsacov said Google is also aware that the sales using “search” are 8% in the Dominican market, whereas in Argentina are as high as 50%.
The executive of the world’s leading search engine also stressed the importance of having presence on the Internet, but regretted that even large entitles fail to provide the information Web surfers seek. “People today have more information at hand. The telecoms are generating a great demand for information, the large organizations however aren’t supplying that demand reflected in the searches.”

I made the same switch back when Chrome was in Beta and was still called Chromiun Project and I have to give it to Google they know how to do software the right way.The only advice I have for them is not to be so greedy because behind door the Open Source market is watching. Now don't get me wrong Microsfoft is cooking up Internet Explorer 9 with some feature that when implemented it will make every other browser look like the stone age and they have the right guy heading the project and the design part is being done by the same guy who redesigned Office 2010 so be on the look out for that too.

You can't compare MSN and Google sites they are 2 very different things one is a portal web site and the other is a search engine. In the search engine war Google wins no questions asked. Remember Search engine is a virtual business meaning that the best at it will be the leader and at this time Google is but being from the industry my self I can assure you no company here is in no safe ground by any means they must perform nearly perfect every single day to stay on top something Google knows very good and Microsoft missed a while back but are now back to what they use to be. In the computer business world things move 100 times faster than any other business.

Google Chrome Rocks!

My favorite browser has always been Opera and now Chrome but I must say that everybody simply copies of the Opera project, in fact all other browsers at one point or another copied something from Opera yet Opera keeps coming out as the leader in new features all the time. The one thing I hate about Google chrome is the single bar search and site input at the top something the average user don;t see but you loose a lot of searching features and are force to do more work to accomplish the same thing. I wish Chrome would copy Opera gesture features because once you get use to them is hard to let go.

Sorry Belly, my comment was actually directed to xwill7, not you :P
I do miss the single bar search... I feel lost sometimes, trying to do simple things in Chrome like searching in my history... I never am able to find it at once...

Until I find a browser better than Opera I will keep using it. I have used it for years and they always ahead of the curve and the fact the it simply looks better helps it too.

Dear X President Leo,
We regret that the job in the sugarcane fields and driving the putas around the disco techs in Sosua on a motoconcho at night are not paying the bills . We at google would like to express our sympathy by extending you a rare and unique opportunity to post ads for Google where you can earn up to 1000 pesos an hour working AT HOME from your shack in the Cibao..( Please invite Mr. Zelaya to respond to this offer as well ).
