Santo Domingo.- Spending on medical care for Haitian patients could exceed one billion pesos this year, as a result of the impact of January’s earthquake on the Haitian population, says Dominican Health Minister Bautista Rojas Gómez.

The minister said that internal displacement from Port-au-Prince to the northern and southern regions of Haiti, where there are no good health facilities, had led to a significant increase in the number of patients coming to Dominican hospitals in search of medical services.

Currently this situation is reflected, he added, in pregnancy and childbirth services, especially in the main maternity hospitals like Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia, in Santo Domingo.

“Conscious of this situation, the Dominican health authorities are preparing to provide this help without affecting services for Dominicans who use our hospitals”, he stated.

In this context, the minister pointed out that as far as the Dominican government is concerned, health is a human right that has to be provided, regardless of anyone’s race, religion or political persuasion.

Rojas Gómez said that healthcare spending for foreign patients had increased since 2005, especially on those coming from Haiti.

That's a lot of money, and counting, now, learn to appreciate what DR is doing for HAITI, even a small country with little resources, we've done more for the Haitian than the Haitian government itself, now tell Solange Pie to shut the f_ _ _ up.

You are more Haitian than Leo . Let the Leo Puppet clean up the dog crap on his own front porch before he tries to clean up his neighbors debris with all the money he is getting from his Aunt Hilly ..
But wow , who cares about the plight of the sick and starving uneducated homeless Dominicans who cant even read the eye chart at the Docs office that has no lights because all that matters is that you have a butt puppet paper champion President on the cover of D.T magazine (and no where else) that is promising his American counterparts who are suffering from a bad case of national penis envy complex another shot of botox and an additional 2 more illusionary inchs to your bruised egos.

LF is obviously putting pressure on US imperialists, UN, WHO, and PAHO to cut up the health care allocation out the $2.4B UN single trust fund in a way that leaves a good chunk of money under DR management.

WHO is the World Health Organization and PAHO is Pan American Health Organization. PAHO is under WHO and WHO is under the UN. Again, they got about $2.4B to spend in Haiti, but the US imperialists are trying, as usual, to steal about 80%-90% of the money thur an array of fraudulent schemes.

The major donors who raised $2.4B will meet tomorrow, Mar 31, in NYC to decide how to cut up the money. LF was scheduled to speak but yesterday he cancelled, sending the DR foreign minister instead.

So, for health care, LF wants RD$1B from UN. The US imperialists are unlikely to give LF even half of RD$1B for a DR-based claim to the funds rather than a Haitian claim.

US imperialists are conniving to steal 80-90% of $2.4B and blame "corrupt Haitians". for the disappearance.

This money could have been used to improve the common Dominican's life... Improve the schools and health care for Dominican citizens... Many Dominicans can not even afford to get medical care... Wow! I just hope the doctors and nurses are not illegal too...

DR must be betting on getting all of the Haitian construction contracts

The US and the UN, in cooperation with the Government of Haiti, and with the support of Brazil, Canada, the European Union, France, and Spain will co-host a ministerial International Donors’ Conference Towards a New Future for Haiti at the United Nations in New York on March 31, 2010.

So, the US imperialists are a co-host of the March 31 meeting..

In preparation for March 31, the Governments of Haiti and the DR, with technical support from the World Bank, hosted a meeting in Santo Domingo on March 16 and 17. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the Post Disaster Needs Assessment and for the Government of Haiti to present its strategy, written by US imperialists, for recovery.

It was at this Mar 16 meeting in Santo Domingo that US imperialists screwed the DR.

On March 25, Special UN Envoy for Haiti, Bill Clinton and the Deputy Special UN Envoy for Haiti, Paul E. Farmer, held a meeting in NYC with representatives of over a thousand NGOs ... swine mostly from the USA and EU and decided how to steal the $2.4B which is supposed to be for Haitian Reconstruction. US imperialists are hiding inside these NGOs. March 25 NGO meeting decided to route all aid thur NGO swine and none thur the Haitian Government.

Paul Farmer, the UN’s Deputy Special Envoy to Haiti, is the co-founder of the NGO Partners in Health. He’s also a professor of medicine at Harvard and is an extreme US reactionary who is determined that all of the UN health care money goes to US thieves and swine.

In order to be blessed by God We must be a blessing to others who need more than we do. See below. Las manos que dan esperan. Dios Bendiga a DR y a Haiti!

10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,”
Says the LORD of hosts,

“ If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it.
11 “ And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,
So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground,
Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,”
Says the LORD of hosts;
12 And all nations will call you blessed,
For you will be a delightful land,”
Says the LORD of hosts.
