Santo Domingo.- The used vehicle importers grouped Asocivu affirm that sales of used autos have jumped more than 25% in the first half compared with the same year ago period.

Asocivu president Alexander Genao said dealer members sold more than 2,750 used cars in the first six months, compared with the 2,154 in the same 2009 period.

He said contrary to 2009 figures when used vehicle sales fell below 60% compared with 2008, the dealers expect a positive year if the tendency continues.

In a press conference in the Asocivu offices, Genao also announced the 7th used vehicles fair, from July 29 to August 2, in the Ciudad Ganadera fairgrounds, to mark Fathers Day.

Magic, more old trash on the road exported due to dangerous faults, being repeatedly clocked and generally not satisfying other countries standards...

And by the way, how are new vehicle sales?

Must be those low 33% interest rates and only 40% down.

also...% marks do not tell the story. How about 2008, 2009, 2010 first half actual sales.
