SANTO DOMINGO. - President Leonel Fernandez met Friday with the executives of the companies Shell and Sol, as well as with the commissioners who negotiated the sale of the Dominican Petroleum Refinery (Refidomsa) to discuss the transfer of Shell’s gas stations nationwide.
Shell is negotiating to sell its stations to Sun, a company of local and international capital, for a figure unspecified so far.
The commissioner Vincho Castillo provided the information after the meeting held in the National Palace.

just like all and i say all the gringos that try to retire over here in the dr after a few years all of them get the hell out.
But if people develop health problems etc. then undoutably health care is better at present in
France, Canada, UK etc
Companies exist to make a profit. If they can sell a non-essential part of the business and make a quick buck this is what they will do. Individuals make a profit easily here from property then move on to Equador, Thailand or somewhere to repeat the process. Others arrive from Spain, CR etc.
