Deep Blue Marine sent DT a photo of a first boat they currently work with.

SALT LAKE CITY (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX).- Deep Blue Marine, Inc. announced today that the company has equipped a second 88 ton vessel, which was purchased earlier this year, for survey and recovery work in the Dominican Republic. The boat, named the "Kerri Lynn," is on its way from Florida to the Dominican Republic and is expected to arrive in 7-10 days, weather permitting.

Wilf Blum, President and CEO, had this to say: "With the amount of work that we have ahead of us, the addition of this ship is very exciting. The ship will go to work on our North Shore area as soon as it arrives. It is 100% equipped with dive gear and recovery equipment and is ready to be put to work immediately."

"As always, investing in this type of venture is very risky and no one should invest if they cannot safely tolerate that risk," Blum said.

No so many teams have proper budgets for these kind of research. DBM seemed to be well funded, so they just need to find beautiful wrecks now... !!! Good luck to those entrepreneurs... www.oceantreasures.org

The work to be done is highly organized and well calculated. Many artifacts will be on display in more than one museum. There are years of salvage work to be done as the prior centuries have acumilated many maritime disasters in the waters of Hispanola.

Every artifact is documented by the state and the salvors to later be allocated for final destination.
There are volumes of history below the seas surface waiting to be discovered. The important consideration is how the artifacts are accessed, removed and preserved. The jack hammer method dosen't fly!

One of these days they may actually show one of Deep Blue Marine's boats instead of always showing Burt Webber's boat! Am I wrong to actually assume real journalism goes on here and they verify what they post?
PS. Glad to see they put the right picture in.....finally!!!

Yeah WreckDiver, you're correct about the boat photo...and it had to be be a set-up shot, cuz the Hotel Hickspaniola never really finds anything!

I think BW was in cahoots with DT to provide them updates...the only problem is, there's been NO UPDATES from Burt or MEXP....except for the recent 1:500 "stock split" MEXP announced...(that's 500 of a stockholder's share becoming 1 share I believe...)

Congrats to Wilf and his team of salvors.

ANNOUNCING!!!
Deep Blue Marine is announcing the Grand Opening of their brand new shipwreck museum in Samana this Friday. Many government officials will be in attendance. I hope the media covers it!!!
They are the only company that is "giving back" to the people. Of course they hope to make money from the tourists who come here, but they have provided jobs in Samana for the building of the museum and all the employees at the museum are Dominicans.

How about:
BECAUSE I FEEL like it?
BECAUSE i have THE RIGHT just for being citizen of this country to KNOW what is to be done with every single thing the goverment is in to
These are just two reason i have MORE available...WHO is the OWNER of whatever is down there? if any of this was in the middle of the atlantic i would not be asking a thing, BUT IS NOT...unless of course somebody has done some dirty work selling their souls as usual

Blessed are the explorers and discoverers. Whether on the moon, outer space or the ocean depths, thanks to those who venture forth in this age of enlightenment. No matter; funded privately or publicly, we all benefit. It is the calling of our species to learn, explore and discover.
GOD speed to Mr. Blum and crew.
