Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.- The Securities Superintendence (SV) authorized the resort group Cap Cana to issue US$20 million in corporate bonds, an offer to be applied in four sections of 5 million dollars, with a fixed coupon rate with a three year maturity.
In a statement the SV said Fitch Ratings assigned a B to the issue. The first section of the issue will be available for investors who qualify starting September 1.
Cap Cana is among the world’s most upscale and ambitious resort complexes ever developed in the country, where local and foreign personalities have bought lots and luxury villas.

I reviewed their business paln soon after the construction was started some years ago, and forewarned these people the model made no economic sense whatsoever, and whoever invested in this project was doomed. My prgnostications have proven correct.. You cannot keep borrowing over and over again while selling properties at exaggerated prices compared to far superior facilities in over parts of the world. This was dommed from day one, and I give those responsible credit for their ability to continue to deceive nieve investors who sink their money into this gigantic, though beautiful, cesspool.

BTW, a B-rating from Fitch is not investment grade. these are junk bonds.
