Santo Domingo. - The Dominican Association of Foreign Investment Companies, Inc. (Asiex) selected Marco De la Rosa its new president for the 2010-2012 period, during an assembly held August 31, during which its new board of directors was also presented.
De la Rosa is also president of the AES Dominicana power group, the former president of the Dominican Electrical Industry Association (AIDE), and forms part of the boards of directors of the country’s major business groups.
“I appreciate the confidence which the Asiex members have in me by designating me as their new representative and my main objective is to bolster the institution and promote the institutionalism that must exist for the fresh capital to continue entering which is much needed by the country,” De la the Rosa said during upon taking the oath.
He said as part of his work agenda he plans to include the figure of strategic planning for the institution and to renew and boost its image.
De la Rosa said he expects to count on the support of all ASIEX members to achieve the organization’s joint objectives.
