Santo Domingo.- The Central Bank said October consumer prices climbed 0.03 percent, paced by lower transport cost, with inflation from January to October totaling 7.54 percent.
It said annualized inflation in the last 12 months, from October 2010 to October 2011, was 8.86 percent, lower than the 9.57 percent reached in September.
“The 0.96% fall in transport contributed to the reduced increase in the general price index, while in the contrary sense, foods and non alcoholic beverages 0.47 percent,” the Central Bank said on its Website.
