Santo Domingo. - Natural gas has become a blessing for pockets of the users who risked using that fuel in vehicles, and affirm a more than 70% saving in their monthly fuel bill.

Users say they’re pleased with the use of natural gas and even more now that new stations are opening on the busy Independencia avenue, where the long lines to fill up are a thing of the past.

Elvis Arias, who’s been using natural gas for three months, said he had spent around RD$16,000 on gasoline monthly before, but only a bit more than RD$6,000 now.

Quoted by eldia.com.do, the taxi driver Samuel Lora affirmed using natural gas for more than one year, and instead of spending as much as 800 pesos per day in gasoline, pays between 350 and 400 for natural gas.

Compared with gasoline, the equivalent in natural gas means a saving of RD$131.5 per gallon.
