Santo Domingo.- Senate president Reinaldo Pared Thursday announced the members of the Special Committee of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies to study the tax reform bill.

"The Joint Commission will address the issue of the tax reform and the fiscal deficit’s origin," the Senate President reiterated when asked on Congress’ position, adding that the commission will hear the positions of all sectors.

The government commission which submitted the bill was received in the office of the Senate, where Pared rejected the notion that the legislation sent by the Executive requires a two thirds majority for approval, because this is not s statutory law.

I'd bet 80% of Dominicans wear second-hand garb. They can't afford new.

What are they going to wear next? Burlap bags?
