Santo Domingo.- The British Chamber of Commerce tapped its new board of directors for the 2012-2014 period, headed by Campos de Moya, vice president for Communications and Institutional Relations of the group VICINI.

Present in the election held during the Chamber’s annual assembly in the offices of BASIC Energy were United Kingdom Embassy Business director Steve Morgan and Commercial attaché Leonora Dipp, among others.

De Moya thanked the Chamber members and pledged to continue consolidating Great Britain-Dominican Republic trade relations. “It’s extremely important for our country that our trade relations with the United Kingdom continue growing and obtain stronger commercial interchange and investment.”

The British government pays for her subjects to go on Holiday also?

I thought only the Queen got hers paid with the British taxpayer’s pounds?

The Queen contibutes far more to the economy than she is paid and her devotion to duty is something that only the finest people possess

"devotion to duty" Ricky, has no translation into Spanish, or at least common Dominican Spanish. The Dominican interpretation of "monarchy" is "kleptocracy".

Unlike the Dominican monarchy, the British monarchy are wealthy in their own right, before coming to the throne. Certainly Britain has had some diabolical monarchs, but QE2 is not one of them. Her service has been nothing short of exemplary, and even the most committed anti-royalists have the utmost respect for her.

hellborn25,
I don't wear a suit and tie to go shopping. Maybe you don't see many Caucasians in Washington Heights, but not all whites are British.
