Normaly in civilized countries the stones are replaced from where they were taken, however in this case the government is so short of cash that it has to get cash wherever it can.

In a progressive and civilized nation, the environmental minister, in conjunction with the justice dpt., would severely prosecute the culprits and make them put back every single stone where it was taken from.
A process that may take months but would bring joy to many an environmentalist and those that thirst for justice, alike.

In civilized countries, knowingly receiving stolen goods is a crime. In La-La Land it is just another form of revenue raising. Why don't they auction off stolen transmission towers and manhole covers?

Those vicious rapacious beasts of the "Ministry of Alchemists and Natural Excrement" and their predators, The Collectors of Stones of Bahoruco and Ojeda, should put the stones back where they belong. The plundering, depredation, abuse, corruption, legal vandalism by this damn common criminals should stop. It is important to note that this is protected area and they are destroying it.

the savages are raping our nation....The site doesn't seem to have a direct link to where one can join up and unifiy for a concerted fighting effort...Is there any way I can help, somehow.?

I'll be in DR by mid July, or so. PM me, if you like. I'd like to help in whatever capacity you all deem necessary and effective.

RonEvane,

"Is there any way I can help, somehow.?"

Go to the auction. Buy up all the stones, then in the middle of the night, tip truck-loads at the entrance to all the Metro stations, then spray-paint each pile purple as a protest?

All the letters together without the parenthesis.

We really need help. We have been denouncing this since 2009, and nothing has worked with those criminals.

It is important to note that right where they pick the pebbles, there is a Military check. The "Ministry of Alchemists and Natural Excrement" just let the predators pick up the stones, load them on big trucks with permits given by the Ministry and let them go; then they "seized" them. No one without a permit can take a sack of stones out of there.
The reality, that is the biggest business of those vicious rapacious beasts of the "Ministry of Alchemists and Natural Excrement" and their predators.
