Santo Domingo.– Due to Mothers Day, celebrated tomorrow in the Dominican Republic, many retailers are still expecting to see an increase in sales today through attractive offers for their articles.

Traditionally, Dominicans pack the stores during the last week of May in search of the perfect gift for someone so dear. However, the flow of people on the eve of the celebration has been slow in various shops in the capital city, compared to previous years.

Accordinf to some traders and retailers, the low sales are due to the recent electoral process and the economic crisis affecting the country.

It's pretty sad that because no one has a job no one had any money to buy a Mother's Day gift before the day before Mother's Day ( if they get to buy one, at all )

Thanks PLD
