CONSTANZA, Dominican Republic.- President Leonel Fernandez Thursday afternoon inaugurated an agro cold storage complex in Constanza of the company Alfridomsa, to conserve the central valley’s myriad products in a controlled environment.
the modern 12,000 square meter facility, located in front of the Heroes de Junio 14 airport, was built at a cost of US$12.0 million and will allow the region’s farming associations to better distribute and conserve their products, it will also create at least 500 direct and 2,500 indirect jobs.
"It's over, Mr. President, the loss of harvest is over, that farmers have to present their products below their cost, when they have excess production is over, and we owe you for this vision of a statesman," said Alfridomsa president Félix García.

Refrigeration is an essential part of almost any farm grower and meat processor.
I'm curious as to how they'll be generating energy to cool an 12.000 meter squared facility.
That's a huge space. Will they be burning petrol products to generate electricity? Hope not!
Pv panels? hope so!
What else is there at the present ?They can't even supply the METRO or for that matter the nation with enogh electric power from the national grid.
