Santo Domingo.- Foreign and local experts spoke to business leaders and entrepreneurs on "Doing Business with Malaysia," during the seminar hosted by the Round Table of Commonwealth Nations in the Dominican Republic.
Dominican Republic’s Chambers of Commerce Federation sponsored the seminar conducted Monday and Tuesday, with Malaysian Market Trade (MATRADE) General Director Jonathan Rao and Latin America Director Michael Holley. MATRADE is Malaysia’s official trade and investment promotion agency
Among the Dominican agencies whose officials spoke in the event figured the Industry and Commerce Ministry and the Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (CEI-RD).
Representing the private sector were the Dominican Republic Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Puerto Caucedo, the Dominican Electrical Industries Association, the Dominican Free Zones Association, and the Round Table of Commonwealth Nations, whose president Fernando Gonzalez Nicolas participated as a panelist.
The seminar showed the participants how to target and identify opportunities for export, trade and investment with Malaysia, and summed by Hans Dannenberg, Dominican ambassador in that Asian nation.
