Santo Domingo.- The March rainfall from seven troughs broke records across the country, and drenched La Vega with 503.4 mm of water, or more than four times the normal of 103.2mm

The National Meteorology Office’s (Onamet) Agro-meteorology division said the March rains benefited the South-Central and North-Central regions, and cites Puerto Plata’s 416.7 millimeters, more than three times its normal of 116.3, and San Francisco de Macoris’ 290 mm, compared with the normal for March of 72.6.

Onamet director Gloria Ceballos said that the rains have contributed to the energy output of the country's dam, whose waters are now in peak levels.

WoooHooooo.

Nothing like basing one's country energy output on something as reliable as the weather.

One person's devastating floods, is another's "energy bounty"!...Nice way to look at things!

Hey RonEvane, maybe that person shouldn't build a house in area where it floods when it rain hard.

Bernies, if forethought is ever considered in building anything in DR, that would be the logical thing to do... Apparently, that's not applied much there....Sad!
